Albany Attractions

Albany Australia is home to breathtaking coastline views, amazing natural wonders, and fantastic wine and food. It may be a small town, but with all the wonderful attractions in Albany, it is surely the gem of Western Australia.

Situated about 400 kms from Perth, and between the towns of Esperance and Bunbury, the area is best known for its beautiful Albany beaches and stunning coastline. Explore this area further with a trip to Torndirrup National Park, where a walking trail will display the beauty of some of the most recognised wonders in Australia, such as the natural bridge and the unusual blow holes, which are formed by a crack in the granite.

Whale watching at Albany is another attraction not to be missed; watch humpback whales and dolphins frolic in the sea, or take a trip to Whaleworld, Australia's last operating whale station.

Albany Western Australia is also a fantastic place to explore on foot. Visit the old farm, Strawberry Hill and stroll through the historic gardens and wildflowers, or for something different, pay a visit to the Valley of the Giants. The treetop walk rises 38m over the canopy of the forest, offering a fantastic bird's-eye view of the forest.

For something more relaxing, try your hand at fishing at Albany, perhaps in the waterways of King George Sand. You can even have a wine or two to go with the fish you caught – there are many excellent wineries in the Albany area.

Whether you're going at your own pace, or taking advantage of one of the many Albany tours, this small town will pack a punch.
