Albany
One of the oldest settlements in Western Australia, Albany is a charming small town with beautiful scenery and natural attractions. Founded in 1826, it lies between the towns of Bunbury and Esperance, and is just over 400 kilometres from Perth. The town looks down onto King George Sound and the Princess Royal Harbour, and is surrounded by three large mountains.
If your Albany holiday happens to fall between June and October, you're in luck: this is prime whale watching season, and is a fantastic opportunity to check out humpbacks and see dolphins at Albany playing in their natural surroundings.
The Stirling Range National Park is also worth a look; the park is home to over 1500 species of flora, and is one of the world's most important areas for growth.
Enjoy some of the many other offerings of Tourism Albany, such as a trip to one of the many Albany wineries. Many of these are in and around the town centre, and are best navigated by picking up a map of Albany. You can travel around much easier by having this handy navigation tool.
A trip to Albany Australia is not complete without visiting one of the many beaches that dot the beautiful Western Australian coastline. The beautiful scenery comes a close rival to other towns in WA, such as Broome.
